Vendaval destruye viviendas en Paimadó, Medio San Juan – Chocó

A la una de la mañana del día sábado 6 de agosto de 2011, un fuerte vendaval destruyó parcialmente 55 viviendas damnificando a 313 personas en Paimadó corregimiento del municipio de Medio San Juan.

Este corregimiento dista a 150 Km de Quibdó, capital del departamento, está habitado por 144 familias para un total de 896 afrocolombianos  que viven de la agricultura de subsistencia, sector que también resultó seriamente afectado por dicho fenómeno natural.

“Inicialmente sentimos una fuerte brisa, rápidamente se convirtió en vendaval que sacudió nuestras humildes viviendas. Fue como si las casas se fueran a arrancar de la tierra” manifestó un miembro del Consejo Comunitario Local, que no pudo ocultar sus lágrimas y su angustia por las cuantiosas pérdidas.
